Did you hear? On Friday, we launched our 2012 Real Maine Wedding of the Year contest -- and the host city for this year's event is Portland!
Our 2011 contest was such a success, we decided to do it again—which means one more lucky couple will win a wedding of their dreams, thanks to over two dozen generous vendors in the greater Portland area. You can read all about it in this article by the Bangor Daily News.
We have tweaked our website and created a new 2012 contest section, where you can find out all of the information about this year's contest including a general overview, rules and entry form, and images and video from last year's wedding in Freeport. We have also added a contest blog! Here you can follow the entire process from start to finish. We'll still be posting great content on this blog—but wanted a separate place dedicated solely for the contest. Here you will be able to read updates and vote on certain aspects of the wedding for the winning couple—like the wedding dress, rings, wedding theme, and much more. You will also get the chance to learn more about our partnering vendors—without them, our contest would be pretty lame.
So please, continue to read our main blog for wedding inspiration, tips, and profiles of Maine weddings across the state. We'll make sure to update both blogs on a regular basis, so check back often to see what's new!
